About Colin Campbell Goldsmiths
We are an independent, family-run jewellers located in the heart of Inverness' Old Town, with an on-site jeweller and workshop above our boutique shop.
Family owned for over 50yrs
Established in 1971, the company was founded by Colin Campbell and originally operated as a 'trade only' business when Colin first moved to Inverness. Interestingly, regardless of which local jeweller's shop you entrusted with a repair, the work was often undertaken by Colin in his own workshop!
Today, the business is successfully run by Colin's son Paul and daughter Lorna, alongside a fantastic team of dedicated staff. We now operate our own retail shop complete with an on-site workshop.

We were thrilled and honoured to be named 'Best Independent Business' in Inverness for two consecutive years, winning the award in both 2023 and 2024 and being finalists in 2025.
We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of service to all our customers. This commitment applies whether you are visiting our shop for a minor repair or looking to purchase a significant piece of jewellery.
A legacy of skill and precision
Our workshop philosophy can best be summarized as combining traditional skills with the latest technology. Paul, having learned the craft the traditional way from his father, Colin, possesses an exceptionally keen eye.
This training is invaluable when he assesses jewellery for repair and alteration, and also when he assists in carefully selecting pieces to purchase for our own stock.
Bespoke handmade jewellery
Our bespoke service is a popular aspect of our business, encompassing both the remaking and remodelling of heirloom jewellery and the creation of unique new commissions.
It is a true privilege to work with older pieces, which often carry significant family history. We enjoy the process of repairing these items, and we also offer a complete remodelling service to repurpose existing stone(s) into more modern designs.
For bespoke commissions, we guide clients through the entire design process, transforming even the vaguest initial ideas into a beautifully finished piece.
